In a recent incident at approximately 18:13 hrs yesterday, law enforcement officers took action at the corner of Princes and Hardina streets, located in Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown. Their attention was drawn to a 27-year-old Vendor hailing from South Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
During the encounter, a thorough search of the individual was conducted by the police officers, resulting in a significant discovery. Hidden within the crotch of his pants, they uncovered a single black Taurus .380 Millennium Pro Pistol along with one magazine, though devoid of any ammunition.
Upon inquiry, the Vendor confirmed that he did not possess a valid Firearm License. Subsequently, he was promptly apprised of the gravity of the offense, taken into custody, and duly cautioned. Law enforcement officials then escorted him to the Brickdam Police Station for further processing.
The firearm, taken into evidence, was meticulously marked, sealed, and secured in the presence of the individual in question. Legal charges against the Vendor are imminent as authorities continue to investigate this matter closely.
