Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sport, the Honourable Charles Ramson accompanied the Acting Head of State on the tour. Both Prime Minister Phillips and Minister Ramson commended the ongoing work carried out by the committee and expressed the Government’s support for the project.
The Restoration Committee is being led by Executive Director of All God’s Little Children INC, Mr Weygand Gardner; Executive Director of All God’s Little Children INC, Ms Stacey Mollison; President of the Buxton Friendship Heritage Foundation, Mr John Newton and Director of the Committee for the Restoration of the Buxton and Friendship Community Centre, Ms Sheron Abrams.
Upon completion, the revitalised centre will boast dormitories, a library, Wi-Fi internet connectivity, and a gym, among other amenities. These enhancements are expected to provide valuable resources and services to the community.
