32-year-old Ashmin Mahadeo who was allegedly shot in the neck by her boyfriend on October 01 passed away moments ago at the New Amsterdam Regional Hospital.
This was confirmed by her brother, Naresh Mahdeo who noted that his sister was recovering well and was transferred back to the New Amsterdam Hospital from the Public Hospital Georgetown recently.
Mahadeo was found with a gunshot wound to her neck on the day in question, just three weeks away from marrying the accused who she shared a seven-year common-law relationship with.
The suspect, 29-year-old Neil Madramootoo of Shoe Lane New Amsterdam was recently placed on $500,000 bail when he appeared in the New Amsterdam Magistrates’ Court to answer an attempted murder charge.
