The Rotary Club of Corriverton, led by President Jermaine Daniels, demonstrated its commitment to educational advancement by presenting laptops to four deserving students from Skeldon and nearby communities. These students have shown exceptional dedication to their studies despite their challenging circumstances.
Daniels in his remarks at the simple presentation ceremony yesterday, emphasized the club’s dedication to enhancing the lives of local residents through various projects, citing the laptop distribution as just one example of their impactful initiatives.
The recipients hailed from Tagore Memorial Secondary, Line Path Secondary, and Skeldon High, and their gratitude was evident as Kevin Singh expressed their collective appreciation for the generous investment in their academic pursuits.
In addition to this commendable initiative, the Corriverton Rotary Club recently completed the installation of water filtration systems at two primary schools on the Upper Corentyne, further underscoring their efforts to improve the community’s well-being.
