The visit was organized by the British High Commission in collaboration with the Caribbean Council, the British Chamber of Commerce (BritCham), and the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The meeting, held at the Ministry’s Brickdam headquarters, included participation from key officials such as Sherwyn Greaves, Chief Executive Officer of the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CHPA); Ms. Denise King-Tudor, Director of Operations; and Ms. Germaine Stewart, Chief Development Planner.
Minister Croal provided insights into the government’s extensive initiatives within the housing and construction sectors, emphasizing the significant opportunities for foreign investment in these areas. He noted that the government’s infrastructure projects and policies are fueling economic growth and creating a stable environment for investors.
The British trade delegation represents a diverse range of sectors, including investment firms, security equipment providers, and suppliers of specialized construction materials and equipment. Their visit is intended to forge partnerships with government agencies and private sector entities to support Guyana’s ongoing economic transformation.
In the coming days, the delegation will continue to engage with various agencies and stakeholders, exchanging ideas and exploring collaborations to align British expertise with Guyana’s development goals.
