Miss World Guyana 2024, Zalika Samuels, has departed for the Philippines to undergo an intensive week-long training program in preparation for Miss World 2025, which will take place on May 31, 2025, in Telangana, India. Hosted by Gouldian Pageant Training & Events, her training will focus on runway walk, public speaking, BWAP (Beauty With A Purpose) presentation, and media engagement, ensuring she is competition-ready for the global stage.
Zalika will return to Guyana on April 2, 2025, and complete her final preparations while residing at Windsor Estates, where she will refine her wardrobe, styling, and multimedia content ahead of the competition. In support of Miss World Guyana winners, Danny Shaw of Windsor Estates has pledged to award a fully furnished condominium to the first Miss World Guyana to win the Miss World title or place 1st or 2nd runner-up.
Beyond the competition, Zalika is committed to legacy and advocacy through her Beauty With A Purpose project, Read, Rise & Shine—a solar-powered mobile literacy hub designed to provide multisensory education to children with developmental challenges in underserved communities. Using Google Learn and adaptive technologies, the initiative will deliver guided reading, interactive visuals, and tailored storytelling to children who are often excluded from traditional education.
Her journey has been made possible by an extensive support system, including sponsors, trainers, designers, family, and well-wishers, who have contributed to her wellness, fitness, wardrobe, talent coaching, etiquette, and multimedia preparation. However, additional support is still needed as she balances her nursing studies with her final five months of preparation. The Miss World Guyana Organization is calling on the Government, corporate partners, and the Guyanese diaspora to invest in this critical phase of her journey.
With Miss World 2025 fast approaching, Zalika is ready to represent Guyana on the global stage, but she cannot do it alone.
