Police are investigating the alleged murder of 36-year-old Alisha Narine, a domestic worker of Grant Crabwood Creek, Corentyne, Berbice, which occurred at her residence around 09:50 hrs on Sunday, September 14, 2025.
Initial investigations revealed that Narine and her reputed husband, Ram Singh, called “Singh,” of Tain/Jones Settlement, Corentyne, were involved in a heated argument shortly before the incident. Narine’s body was later discovered in the yard with multiple chop wounds.
The injuries were so severe that one of her legs was nearly severed. Her body was found lying in a pool of blood.
The suspect is currently in police custody assisting with the investigation.
