Detectives in Regional Division 4’C’ are investigating the death of 48-year-old Kevin Browne, the Chief Security Officer of Sheriff Security, who tragically died on Sunday, November 9, 2025, after falling from the roof of a building at Good Hope, East Coast Demerara.
Reports indicate that Browne, of Apiqua Lane, Guyhoc Park, Georgetown, had earlier that morning transported workers to the INFAB building located on the southern side of the Good Hope Public Road.
Around midday, workers observed water damage on sections of the ceiling and informed Browne, who reportedly climbed onto the roof to inspect the problem. During the inspection, he stepped on a weak section that gave way, causing him to fall several feet onto the concrete surface below.
Workers immediately rushed to his aid and transported him to the Enmore Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
A 52-year-old friend of the deceased later reported the incident to the police. Browne’s body was subsequently taken to Sandy’s Funeral Parlour, where it awaits a post-mortem examination.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
