Pandemonium broke out at the Port Mourant Market this morning when two armed bandits attacked and robbed a goldsmith operating within the facility.
Reports indicate that one of the two bandits was later apprehended by public-spirited citizens, who administered a severe beating. The injured suspect was rushed to the Port Mourant Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after. The other suspect remains at large.
According to information received, the two men approached the goldsmith and robbed them of gold and cash. In response, vigilant citizens gave chase and managed to capture one of the suspects, recovering some of the stolen items in the process.
