Police in Berbice have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a medex, whose lifeless body was discovered this morning in a hotel room in New Amsterdam. The room was reportedly locked from the inside, raising questions about the nature of the incident.
According to preliminary reports, the medex was in New Amsterdam to attend a professional training session and had been staying at the hotel. When hotel staff failed to receive any response after several attempts to contact the guest, they alerted the authorities, leading to the discovery.
Initial examinations of the body have revealed no visible signs of violence, though the cause of death remains undetermined at this time.
