Members of Joint Services conducted a joined operation at the New Amsterdam Prison on Saturday during which a quantity of prohibited items were found and seized.

The News Desk understands that the operation took place between 05 hours 40 and 08 hours and was done within the male and female dormitories.
Among the items found are:
1. Nine (9) Cellphones
2. One (1) GT&T SIM card
3. Quantity of Cigarettes
4. eleven (11 )Lighters
5. One(1) smoking utensils
6. Nine (9) Improvise weapon
7. One (1) Scissors
8. Four (4)Metal spoons
9. One (1) 1 bucket Fomented wine
10. Four (4) Bottles of Fomented wine.
11. Two Hundred and eighty two 282 grams of narcotics.
The items were lodge in the general property book Central Police Station and handed over to the subordinate officer in charge.
