Home Zone Guyana, a leading name in high-end furnishings and home appliances, has expanded its footprint with the opening of a new branch in Palmyra, Region Six. The simple yet significant ceremony was held last evening, marking another milestone for the brand.
Founder and proprietor Frank Sanichara reflected on the journey of Home Zone, highlighting its rapid growth since its inception in late 2023. He shared that the idea for the business was born after attending a trade show abroad, where he saw the potential for introducing premium home furnishing solutions to the Guyanese market.

“It all started with just one container of sofas, which sold out very quickly. Due to the high demand, I increased the number of containers, and today, we process multiple containers per week,” Sanichara explained.
He noted that Home Zone follows a business model similar to Amazon, offering customers the convenience of viewing products at a warehouse before purchasing, addressing the common hesitation among Guyanese when it comes to online shopping. The company not only imports the requested items but also handles installation at no additional cost.
With Guyana’s booming construction and hardware industry, Sanichara emphasized the growing demand for high-end furnishings, stating:
“This business will expand rapidly within the next year. By the end of this year, you will see many more branches opening across the country.”
Since its establishment, Home Zone has swiftly risen to prominence as a leading choice for furniture solutions, offering a diverse range of products from luxurious to budget-friendly options, catering to all customers. Looking ahead, the brand aims to establish multiple showrooms across Guyana to solidify its position as the market leader.
Regional Chairman David Armogan, who attended the event, commended Sanichara for his vision and business acumen. He noted that Guyana, particularly Region Six, is witnessing unprecedented economic development, creating tremendous opportunities for the business community.

“We have seen remarkable development over the past four years, building confidence among investors. More businesses, both local and international are establishing themselves in this region,” Armogan stated.
He added that as more businesses emerge, consumers will benefit from greater product variety and competitive pricing, ultimately improving access to quality goods and services.
The chairman also underscored the importance of enhancing customer service in the business sector, revealing plans for a Hospitality and Service Institute to train professionals in delivering top-tier service across industries.

As Home Zone continues to expand, Sanichara reaffirmed his commitment to providing quality furnishings at competitive prices, ensuring that Guyanese consumers have access to the best options for their homes and businesses.
