Police are investigating an alleged break and enter, and Larceny committed at the business place of R. Sookraj and Sons General Store located at Lot 10 Main and Church Street, New Amsterdam.
The incident occurred between the 30th December at 17:30 hours to 02nd Jamuary 2024 at 06:45 hours.
According to police, the building is a two storey wooden and concrete structure which was secured during the aforementioned date and time.
However, at about 06 hours 45, Sookraj made checks in his store and observed that his office was ransacked and an undisclosed amount of items including; cigarettes, digicel credit, eletronic items valuing over $400,000 were missing.
The police were called to the scene and they are conducting an investigation.
