A major milestone in early childhood education is on the horizon for Black Bush Polder, as the long-awaited nursery school nears completion. The new facility, now over 80 percent finished, will provide a dedicated learning space for more than 120 students from Lesbeholden, Mibicuri, Yakusari, and Johanna.
Currently, the students are housed in the Black Bush Polder Secondary School building. However, for the first time, they will soon have a school of their own, a space designed specifically for their learning and development.
The modern nursery school will feature seven classrooms, an administrative office, and washrooms for both teachers and students, along with several other amenities to create a comfortable and stimulating learning environment.

Expressing her excitement, the head teacher of the school shared that the new facility will bring much-needed relief to both students and teachers. She highlighted that having their own space will allow for more effective teaching and expanded educational activities, ultimately enhancing the students’ learning experience.
This project is being spearheaded by the Regional Democratic Council (RDC) in Region Six, marking a significant investment in the future of early childhood education in the community.
