The small community of Hogtown on the Corentyne was thrown into a state of shock following the brutal killing of one of it’s residents earlier today.
Dead is 29-year-old Leon Kum.
thenewsdeskgy.com was informed that at about 2 hours 30, neighbors were awoken by the screams coming from a sheep pen where Kum spent the night. As they rushed outside to intervene, they found the deceased laying motionless in a pool of blood.
Speaking with The News Desk, his sister Dhanmattie Ramcharitar disclosed that sue received a call early this morning informing her that her younger brother was killed. She then visited the station where her son with whom the deceased had been residing with was being held for questioning along with his wife.
Persons in the area shared with media operatives that the deceased is known to be a humble and kind individual within the community who was willing to assist the elderly with chores.
Region Six Commander, Shivpersaud Bacchus has confirmed that two persons are in custody assisting with the investigations.
