A Corentyne pensioner is nursing serious injuries about the body after being badly beaten by a family member who she has been taking care of.
The injured woman has been identified as 83 year old Doris Drepaul of Kilmarnock Village on the Corentyne.
thenewsdeskgy.com understands that the incident took place at the elderly woman’s home on December 02, 2023.
Her granddaughter, Suzanne Bholaisingh posted on her social media platform that “ My grandmother was beaten so badly, stripped of her clothes on her body and dragged from the back door to the front door, she was beaten all over her head and body and face her head has 27 stitches and her eye are all swollen up black and blue”
According to Bholaisingh, the suspect tied a cloth around her grandmother’s neck in an attempt to strangle her. “She is in pain, the person that did this to her, destroyed the little things in her home that she loved so much and took her pension money and her gold rings.”
Bholaisingh noted that she was informed that this is not the first time the suspect attacked her grandmother, rob and beaten her and therefore is calling for justice.
