Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Parsram Shivpersaud, a 52-year-old unemployed male of Lot 15 Adelphi Settlement, East Canje, Berbice, which is believed to have occurred between 19:30 hrs on June 13, 2025, and 10:30 hrs on June 14, 2025.
Initial investigations revealed that the deceased, who was known to be a heavy consumer of alcohol spent the day at his sister home.
At approximately 19:20 hrs, the deceased was last seen sitting on the railing of her bridge, located in front of her home, smoking a cigarette.
The following day, June 14, 2025, at approximately 10:00 hrs, the deceased’s brother-in-law, observed the body of the deceased lying face-up in a drain in front of his yard.
Investigations are continuing.
