Berbice Businesswoman, Samantha Reid has been elected to serve as the new president of the Berbice Chamber of Commerce and Development Association following the chamber’s annual general meeting held on Monday.
In a statement issued by the chamber, it states that “It is with great honor that I address the formation of the new Executive body that will be leading our organization into the future. This body is comprised of experienced and talented professionals who will work together to ensure that the Berbice Chamber of Commerce continues to serve as a valuable resource for our members and the broader business community.”

Coming out of the Chamber’s AGM, the following persons were elected to serve at various capacities.

Mr. Ryan Alexander- Senior Vice President
Dr. Ganesh Shiv Kumar- Junior Vice President
Ms. Imogen Pydana Ferdinand- Secretary
Mr. Gregory Sears- Treasurer
Mr. Nandram Basdeo- Assistants nt secretary/Treasurer
Mr. Ashraf Ali Jahoor- Public Relations Officer (PRO)
According to the statement, the executives noted that “We have no doubt that this group will contribute innovative thinking and priceless expertise to our company, and we are looking forward to collaborating with them to realize our objectives.”
The previous president of the BCCDA was Ryan Alexander.
