An investigation has been launched into the discovery of skeletal remains including a skull at Enterprise A, Field One in East Canje Berbice earlier today.
The News Desk understands that, at approximately 8 hours 30, two security officers attached to the Rose Hall Estate in Canje reported to the Reliance Police Station that they had received information about the discovery of human remains at Enterprise A, Field One in the western side of the Canefield.
Upon arriving at the scene, an Assistant Superintendent led a team of police officers to investigate the matter, and the security officers pointed out the exact area where the remains were found.
Latchman Persaud, a cane harvester who first made the discovery also confirmed that he had discovered the remains while working in the area at around 7 hours 45.
The remains were removed from the scheme as investigations are currently ongoing.
