Three men have been arrested and charged in connection with an armed robbery committed on Ramona Crawford at Lot 19, No. 58 Village, Corentyne, Berbice, on the night of Saturday, July 19, 2025.
Delroy Parks, called “Sickie,” a 42-year-old labourer of Lot 50 Cromarty Village; Amzad Ally, called “Cow,” a 30-year-old taxi driver of No. 70 Village; and Antwan Kyte, called “Turtle,” a 34-year-old security guard of Lot 45 (B) Dukestown, Corriverton, were arrested on the same day of the robbery and charged on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

The trio was charged with Robbery Under Arms, contrary to Section 222(c) of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01. They appeared before Her Worship Miss Tuanna Hardy at the Springlands Magistrate’s Court, where the charge was formally read to them. The accused were not required to plead and were remanded to prison.
According to police reports, the robbery occurred around 23:10 hrs, when the four victims, including Crawford, were attacked by two masked men armed with handguns after returning home from a family outing in Skeldon, Corriverton. Prior to the incident, the victims had encountered Delroy Parks at a bar, where he made a suspicious remark.
Upon arriving at their residence and exiting their vehicle, the victims were confronted by the masked suspects, one of whom they identified as Parks based on the clothing he wore earlier at the bar. The second suspect was dressed in a blue kurta. The men reportedly pointed guns at the victims and robbed them of cash and jewelry before fleeing on foot toward a nearby vehicle.
Following swift police action, Parks was found drinking beer in the same clothing described by the victims. A gold bangle was discovered hidden in his pants crotch during a search. Parks claimed he received the item in exchange for marijuana.
Further investigation led to the arrest of Ally, who admitted during an interview at the Springlands Police Station that he transported Parks and Kyte—whom he referred to as “Turtle”—to No. 58 Village to commit the robbery and later picked them up in Dukestown.
A subsequent search at one of the suspects’ homes uncovered a .32 pistol with a magazine containing five suspected live rounds.
The matter is currently ongoing as police continue their investigations.
