Dead is 21-year-old Vekash Tulsi of Letter Kenny on the Corentyne and 22-year-old Rondy Emanuel of Williamsburg also on the Corentyne while 17 year old Veeram Seecharran of Williamsburg who suffered a fractured skull during the accident on Friday was admitted in the New Amsterdam Hospital in a critical condition.
The News Desk understands that at about 20 hours 30 Tulsi was driving motor cycle CM 2969 and was proceeding west along the southern drive lane of Williamsburg Public Road while Emanuel was driving motorcycle CM 50 with pillion rider Seecharran and proceeding east along the northern drive lane.
According to the police, both motorist were driving allegedly at a fast rate of speed when motor cycle #CM 50 lost control and end up south into the path of motor cycle # CM 2969.
As a result, both motor cycles collided head-on, causing the motor cyclists and the pillion rider to fall onto the road surface where they all received injuries about their bodies.
They were all picked up in an unconscious condition and taken to Port Mourant Public Hospital where Tulsi was pronounced dead on arrival while Emmanuel succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical attention. The pillion rider was treated for a fracture skull and transferred to New Amsterdam Public Hospital where he was further examined and immediately admitted a patient in a critical condition.
Investigations are continuing.
