Police are investigating a fatal accident in Stanleytown, New Amsterdam, Berbice, which claimed the life of a 22-year-old motorcyclist on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
Investigators reported that the deceased, Daniel North of 8th Street Village, East Bank Berbice, was riding motorcycle #CP 1385 at an allegedly fast rate when he collided with motor car #PLL 6600 around 16:30 hours. The car was being driven by a 56-year-old man from Lancaster Village, Corentyne Berbice, who was travelling north along the western driving lane at a normal speed.
According to police, North was proceeding east along an access road on the western side of the main roadway when he crashed into the left front side of the car.
He was rushed to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.
The driver of the motor car is also hospitalized and is receiving medical attention.
Police say investigations are ongoing.
