The Guyana School of Agriculture (GSA) held its 59th Graduation Ceremony this morning at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre, where 133 students were awarded certificates, diplomas, and degrees in various agriculture-related disciplines.
Delivering the feature address, Agriculture Minister Hon. Zulfikar Mustapha emphasized the critical role of agriculture in Guyana’s national identity and economic resilience. He highlighted the sector’s importance, particularly in light of rapid global advancements.

“In this era of rapid change and innovation, agriculture remains the backbone of our economy, and the role of young people in this sector cannot be overstated. Innovative technologies and approaches can potentially increase the efficiency and sustainability of agri-food systems,” Minister Mustapha stated.
He encouraged the graduates to further their education and remain curious as they move forward in their careers, advising them to continuously build upon the knowledge they have gained.
The ceremony marked another significant milestone in the GSA’s mission to equip future agricultural leaders with the skills and expertise needed to drive the sector’s growth and innovation.
