The Aiden Hotel, located at the corner of Robb and Oronoque Streets in Georgetown, officially opened its doors to guests on Saturday with a grand opening ceremony. This newly constructed hotel, which began development in March 2021, marks the tenth Aiden Hotel in the world and is now one of the most striking architectural landmarks in Guyana.
Lorenzo Alphonzo, Director of Arimu Investments Incorporated, highlighted the hotel’s standout features, including 138 smart rooms, six of which are extended-stay suites designed to offer guests the comfort of a home away from home. He emphasized that the Aiden Hotel adds another upscale facility to Best Western’s global portfolio, and this location is the brand’s first in South America. As a boutique hotel, Aiden is known for offering world-class amenities and services while showcasing the culture, flora, and fauna of the country it is in.

The hotel’s executive floor, located on the eighth level, features premium suites with world-class furnishings. Each floor’s hallways are decorated with images depicting Guyana’s diverse wildlife, plants, and scenic landscapes. The suites are named after Guyana’s rivers, with the largest and most exclusive being the Essequibo Suite.
Additional amenities at the Aiden Hotel include a meeting room, two coworking areas with privacy screens, a self-service laundry, and a restaurant on the ground floor offering a variety of international culinary delicacies. The hotel also boasts a coffee shop serving both local and international coffee and tea selections.
One of the hotel’s standout features is its Horizon Lounge and Terrace, located on the ninth floor. This exclusive space offers a 180-degree view of the city, complete with a high-end sound system, a carefully curated wine selection, and a cigar bar. Alphonzo described the Horizon Lounge as the hotel’s “real gem,” providing guests with an unmatched luxury experience and a taste of Guyanese hospitality.
