Police in Berbice have arrested 42-year-old Rafeek Prahboo, the man captured on video brutally assaulting his wife at their Lot 230 Topoo, Albion home on the Corentyne.
The incident reportedly occurred on Friday. Following the attack, the woman filed a report at the Albion Police Station, prompting ranks to launch a search for Prahboo, who initially went into hiding. However, he was apprehended earlier today.
Sources confirmed that the woman has since moved out of the shared home to prioritize her safety.
